This site
is maintained as a free public service by Michael
J. Cummings, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA. Cummings, 66, a freelance
writer and former college English instructor,
began his career as a public-school teacher in Muncy, Pennsylvania, in
1964 and taught English in Elmira, N.Y., from 1965 to 1968. In 1968, he
joined Grit Publishing Company in Williamsport, Pa., starting as a reporter
and eventually becoming managing editor. In 1984, he became a freelance
writer, specializing in feature writing and medical writing. In 1988, he
became an adjunct college English instructor in Williamsport while also
continuing his freelance writing. He has written five books and has compiled
numerous definitions for a medical dictionary. Over the years, he has written
more than 2,500 published articles on a variety of topics and has interviewed
such well-known public figures and celebrities as former president George
H. Bush and the late Peter Ustinov. Cummings welcomes feedback..
